Thespians Thursday

Well, we began our day by looking up the word thespians. Then, we prepared for the "stage," which was actually a space in the pod. 201 gathered with 202, who performed "Plant Poems." 201 students were nervous, but I was so proud of them. These scripts contain advanced vocabulary words and are not easy! Getting up in front of your peers is not easy! Performing when several members of your group are absent is not easy! Today, we learned that we can do hard things! Next time, we will add some more polish and invite parents. This experience was a first step.

Gourd decorating is tomorrow. Most kids have brought in a gourd or a small pumpkin. I will run to the store this evening to see what I can find. This activity is more of a "fall craft" and doesn't have to be about Halloween. Please let me know if you don't want your child to participate.

Tomorrow is Friends with a Book Friday. 201 will read stories to their Kindergarten Buddies. They are so excited!
