Terrific Tuesday

Those who celebrate Dia de los Muertos will do so today and tomorrow. We will learn a little bit about this tradition tomorrow. Today was a busy day! Here is the run-down:

  • We read a biography in My View called Barbed Wire Baseball. If you can re read it at home together, please do! The text is posted on Google Classroom.

  • We got a "back ground knowledge blast" to help us understand the author's perspective. The main character is a Japanese American named Zeni, whose family was imprisoned during the Japanese American Incarceration that took place during World War 2. We discussed the historical events and used a BrainPOP to help us learn.

  • We discussed this week's vocabulary words, and we also talked about our prefix focus: -mis, -en, and -en. Kids should be done with page 191 in My View.

  • We had a Q & A session about the SS project that is due this Friday!
