Hello Team 200 families. Here is the latest:
We are working on our House For Sale writing today. We are learning about the "pink lines" on the paper, how to indent, and organization. Of course, we are also focused on content. These authors know their mission: to persuade the family to BUY! How will they do this? Their writing needs to be descriptive, yet clear. It is a process. Many will finish a final draft on Monday.
We will decorate the gourds/pumpkins in about an hour. We are looking forward to it!
Next week, we will be reading Barbed Wire Baseball. This biography is a story of hope and perseverance that takes place in a Japanese American Internment Camp. We will be learning about the Japanese American Incarceration that took place during the Second World War.
On Monday, we will enjoy our fall fest. Students may wear a costume to school. Please see the emails from Dr. Riskus about costume guidelines. We will NOT be going to the washroom to put on makeup, do hair, or change in and out of costumes. Students who do not want to be in costumes all day should wear a "base layer." 201 and 202 will enjoy the Fall Fest in the CAC for 30 minutes of games and fun. If you would like to bring candy, there are now 26 students in our classroom.
