We are feeling fantabulous about our creative writing. 202 & 201 are creating Imaginative Narratives. These authors' purpose is to entertain their readers. This goal has been met! Today we worked on "polishing" our stories. Our main focus has been on creating clear, concise sentence. We will work on story elements a bit later. This work should be in the "take home" folder. We will finish publishing on Monday.
Today we also...
spent time with our "book friends" for Friends With a Book Friday.
recorded our Bingo Challenge, which was to learn how to say "hello" in 5 different languages. 201 took the challenge with gusto. Our video says "hello" in seven languages. Thank you to our student language leaders, who helped us learn and stay on target!
listened to the first episode of "The Disappearance of Mars Patel." Podcasts will be a regular part of our reading routine.
had a "pep talk" with Ms. Trilla and Mr. George, our Conflict Resolution Specialist, about living Ubuntu while at recess and lunch. Remember, "I am because you are."
*Thanks for helping us make snack more manageable. The last two days have been much better!
* I am leaving the CAC by 7:30 each morning. I don't want to waste one precious minute of our ELA time.
* I have created a new class for 201 & 202 on epic. Here is the class code: txr9244
*Don't forget the headphones!
